FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Why Is Personal Branding Important?
-
Big businesses pour big bucks and effort into creating brands people fall in love with and relate with. Something memorable and unique.
You don't have to do that with a personal brand. Simply being yourself, you already authentically exist and are as unique as they come. You are memorable and capable of standing out from the crowd simply because there is no one else like you. That's why we make your photography personal.
And here's the best part, when you are passionate about the work you do and the audience you have, you are naturally relateable to the people you want to work with.
As a small business owner, you are in the perfect position to become the face of your business through your branding portraits to humanize the products or services you sell.
- What Would We Shoot?
-
Planning your personal branding portrait photography session starts with a questionnaire that helps to get clear on your story. To ensure that all of your personal brand portraits work for you in a way that resonates with your viewers. Of course, if it’s capturing your products or service, tools of the trade, meetings, workshops, your family we want to ensure that it fits within your strategy each time.
You may want to incorporate props that will allow you to tell the story of your business visually and easily. We want you to have months worth of magazine worthy images full of your company’s stories. Your portraits should feature details that help to breathe life into your business and website. We have a planning meeting where we discuss potential ideas for your session. If those ideas resonate with you, we start talking about styling tips, and props that will give a visual boost to your personal brand photography.
If you’re just getting started and have no idea how to use the pictures or what pictures you need, I’ve got you. I have a plan for capturing a variety of images for needs that may come up in the future as well as just capturing images of you looking like the expert that you are!
- Where Does The Shoot Take Place?

Your personal branding photography session can take place at your place of business, a cute coffee shop, and outdoor location or a specific venue we can secure for your session. It all depends on your business, and the strategy we come up with together!

Once you receive your images, you are the owner of a commercial use release. I differ from lots of photographers and photography services. I don’t request use credit for your branding photoshoot unless the image is published outside of your assets.
The goal is to create conversions for small business owners, not me. I allow you to edit, add light, color, text, or filters to match your branding and marketing. The only restriction is that you cannot give the images or sell them to other businesses. My business owner can the images they receive on book covers, billboards, on buildings, press releases and their business pages online and social media.

My hope as the photographer and founder behind Lady Boss Portraits is to walk you through this experience so that you are comfortable showing up in images. I want women that have been taught to humble and quiet themselves to see that they can have impact when they are ready to share their gift with the world. The gift of who they are, and to also stop being held back by the fear of showing up.
